As Director of Scouting, Joey Monahan is the coordinator of all prospective talent. Joey is the liaison between KASE and the various MLB clubs, coaches, scouts and athletes. Joey Monahan was an All-American and two-time All-Conference at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He was drafted out of high school by the Minnesota Twins in the 1999 MLB draft and then drafted in 2002, 7th round, by the Chicago Cubs where he played for several years in the minor league system. Joey's accomplishments while playing with the Cubs AA team earned him an invitation to major league spring training. At the height of Joey's career he hit 22 doubles, 3 triples and 16 homeruns with a .357 average. The Monahans come from a long lineage of professional athletes, most well known in the NHL arena. Monahan's father is Hartland Monahan, his grandfather was Bernie Geoffrion and his great-grandfather was NHL Hall of Famer Howie Morenz. Joey's knowledge of the minor and major league systems, prospective draft talent and numerous contacts within the MLB club organizations makes him invaluable to the KASE Management organization.
